The buzzword of the day is "HOME BASED" business.  If you ever have insomnia and watch TV late at night or early in the morning there are a ton of "INFOMERCIALS" on money making ideas from home. It's amazing if you have cable TV, you can click through 90 stations and not find anything really worth watching. Infomercials can be entertaining as well as provide you with ideas for a "Home Based or Small Business Opportunity". With large organizations and companies faltering everyday, you should give yourself every opportunity for financial success. You never know when the pink slip is coming your way. Some of the Infomercials and home based business you see advertised do offer promise, but usually require much more work, planning and knowledge then what is often represented in the commercial. We have over 30 years experience in Banking, Finance and Small Business Accounting.   We have found that small business owners often know their business, their customers, their product and their sales, but commonly lack knowledge in Accounting and Finance.  You don't have to be a CPA, but having an "EQ" or "Economics Quotient", and or a basic knowledge of Accounting  and Finance is quite helpful in both personal and business financial planning.
